Malaysia's IPOs attract global fund managers

The listings of two Malaysian groups have attracted global fund managers that raised the country's profile.

 “It has been amazing success story of the biggest initial public offering in the world this year, the number one is Facebook in America and number two and three in Malaysia – FGVH and IHH Healthcare,” said Anthony Cragg, managing director and senior portfolio manager of Wells Capital Management, a multi-boutique asset management firm.

According to Cragg, the mega listings of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd and IHH Healthcare Bhd have also enabled the shareholders to see profits and this has “really raised the profile of Malaysia on the world stage.”
