Indonesia sets govt bonds for individual investors
Indonesia’s Finance Ministry is aiming f0r individual investors for its next three-year bond sale It has set for the said bonds at 6.5 percent.
The retail bonds and par value payments are guaranteed by the state, and investors will be able to benefit from potential capital gains in the secondary market.
The government will offer the notes through Oct. 5 and plans to list them on the Indonesian Stock Exchange on Oct. 10.
Unlike institutional investors from large investment banks, individual Indonesian investors are permitted to buy smaller parcels of bonds.
An individual investor must bid at least Rp 5 million or $524 but not more than Rp 3 billion, according to Finance Ministry guidelines.
