FTSE ST Index Series results to be out on 10 Sept

Singapore Exchange Limited, along with FTSE Group and Singapore Press Holdings, will announce the results of the half-yearly review of the constituents of the Straits Times Index and 20 other indices in the FTSE ST Index Series after market close on Thursday, 10 September 2009.

The STI and FTSE ST indices are reviewed in accordance with the published Index Ground Rules, using figures from the close of business on 31 August 2009. The changes will be approved by the FTSE ST Index Advisory Committee, which is chaired by Mr Greg Seow and comprises seven other market practitioners from Singapore’s investment community.

This rules-based approach and independent index committee structure ensures transparency and objectivity in the management of the STI and FTSE ST Index Series.

The changes announced on 10 September 2009 will be implemented after the market close on Friday, 18 September 2009. Reviews are carried out every March and September.
