CIMB to create investment banking advisory in Sri Lanka
CIMB Securities will establish an investment banking advisory joint venture in Sri Lanka.
Under the Joint Venture and Shareholders' Agreement signed by CIMB Securities and its partners in the republic, the shareholders have committed up to US$2 million for the venture.
CIMB Group Holdings said the joint venture company would be a subsidiary of CIMB Securities International upon its incorporation.
The joint venture company would provide investment banking services such as corporate, equity and debt capital market and general advisory on mergers and acquisitions.
It would also provide services such as for initial public offerings and secondary offerings, primary and dual listings, privatisations, corporate restructuring and capital management, as well as such other related businesses that company might choose to undertake in the future, it said.
