ASM targets one million investors through salary deductions

ASM Investment Services Bhd aims to attract one million investors through salary deductions this year with its "Thrift Savings Plan".

ASM Investment presently has 100,000 investors with a total investment of about 800 million units.

Its Deputy Manager for Business Development Noor Supiah Ahmad said last year, 30,000 ASM investors throughout the country invested through salary deductions.

"To me it is not impossible to attain the target. With the five branches and 300 trust consultants throughout the country, we will work hard to achieve the target," she told reporters at the Penang Investors Appreciation Day 2011 here Thursday.

She said the savings plan which was launched a long time ago will now be actively promoted this year to encourage the working group to save on a permanent basis.

She also said the minimum salary deduction is RM10.
