Metrobank entrusted to manage BSP Provident Fund

Lender's fund management excellence earned accreditation from the Philippines' central bank.

Metrobank is tasked mainly to manage the BSP Provident Fund's equity portfolio, aside from its fixed income portfolio.

"We are grateful to BSP for entrusting Metrobank with the management of its equity funds," said Josefina Sulit, Metrobank executive vice president and head of the Trust Banking Group, in a report in Malaya. "Our goal has always been to ensure the long-term and consistent performance of the funds we handle. Our accreditation with BSP highlights this commitment to provide the best service in investment management."

The bank has long been recognised for its expertise in investment management. Among local players, it is a consistent top performer in the equity fund category of a regular survey conducted by the Trust Officers Association of the Philippines (TOAP). It was also accorded the Gold Trusted Brand Award under Investment Fund Company category by Reader's Digest.
