Indonesia's Mandiri to underwrite 6 bond issuances

PT Mandiri Sekuritas will underwrite bond issuances for six companies coming from various sectors in the fourth quarter of the year.

The firms come from multifinance, property, banking, oil and gas and mining sectors.

Mandiri Sekuritas investment banking chief Iman Rachman said that the company would cooperate with other securities firms to manage the issuances.

The joint underwritings would be around Rp 3 trillion or US$315.7 million.

All the bonds will be in rupiah.

According to Iman, Mandiri Sekuritas has managed bond issuances for 16 companies in the first eight months of the year. The company, he said, managed 14 issuances last year.

As expected, corporate bonds have been popular in the market this year, on the back of the nation’s economic growth, which has encouraged companies to expand.
