Markit names Matthew Serynek as managing director and head of Japan operations
In a release, Markit, a leading global financial information services company, announced the appointment of Matthew Serynek as managing director and head of Markit’s Japan operations.
Serynek will be responsible for developing Markit’s presence in Japan and fostering new relationships with customers in the country. He will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Markit’s Tokyo office.
Serynek joins from SunGard, where he worked for 13 years in a number of roles, most recently as President of SunGard Japan. In this role, Matthew headed up direct sales, business development, customer retention and new strategic product investments, leading a team of more than 70 people.
