Russell Investments appoints Edmund Teo as Regional Director Sales and Marketing

Company says Edmund’s experience will help meet expected business growth in the year ahead.

Global financial services firm, Russell Investments, has announced that Edmund Teo was hired on April 1 as Regional Director Sales and Marketing. Singapore-based Edmund joins Russell from First State where he was responsible for sales and business development as well as overseeing branding and marketing. Prior to First State, Edmund had business development responsibilities at UOB Asset Management in Singapore.

Edmund will lead business development activities at Russell for both institutional and retail clients, define channel strategies for new clients as well as manage the client servicing team. He will hold a senior leadership role in the regional management team and report to Mahendran Nathan, Chief Executive of Russell’s operations in ASEAN, Hong Kong, Taiwan and India.

In addition to the above appointment, Russell has already hired several business development and client relationship managers, with most located in Singapore. The company says that resources will continue to be added over the next 12 months to keep pace with business growth.
