Hong Leong Takaful eyes $987,000 premiums from i-cash

Hong Leong Tokio Marine Takaful Bhd is eyeing in US$987,000 in premium contributions in the first year of its HLTM i-Cash.

 

"We aim to have 5,000 agents by 2012, with 60 per cent active agents selling at least one policy or certificate monthly," said its Chief Executive Officer Abdul Latiff Abu Bakar.

According to Abdul Latiff, HLTM i-Cash, the company's new family takaful product, not only offers savings and protection but also an additional annual income of five per cent from the sum covered from the third anniversary onward of the certificate year.

HLTM Takaful will also be offering the first Wakaf and Qurban service in Malaysia, according to a report by Bernama News Agency.

He said with Wakaf and Qurban, its muslim customers are assured, that the practice of continuous charity is fulfilled in the event of death.

HLTM Takaful has at present four products. It includes investment-linked family takaful products, term products, education and endowment.
