ASM Investment Services Bhd will be launching two new investment funds in the second half of this year.
The two funds, namely a corporate investment fund and an offshore investment fund, are now under study, according to ASM Chief Executive Officer Nik Mohamed Zaki Nik Yusoff.
Both the funds are aiming at 32 million investors.
With the two funds, we expect to also attract an investment of RMB150 million this year compared with RM40 million last year," Nik Mohamed said.
Nik Mohamed said the company was also confident of setting up the overseas based fund.
Most of the funds from ASM Investment currently are only for investments in the country.
He said for a start, the investment fund overseas would look at Asian countries like Indonesia and Thailand before expanding it elsewhere like Europe.
As for the corporate fund, it would give more focus to the amount of securitised funds with their income based on the returns from bonds, he said.
