Alquity Africa launched in Hong Kong

Alquity Africa launched in Hong Kong

n investment fund aiming to generate double-digit annual returns by investing in African opportunities is now open to all Hong Kong investors.

The Alquity Africa Fund has already achieved 11 per cent growth since its launch in the UK and Europe last June. It has now also gained approval as an investment product from the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission, and so has become available for investment by all Hong Kong investors.

“The 1990s was the decade of Latin American Puma markets. The past 10 years has been the decade of China and the Asian Tigers.  We believe the essential elements are now in place for this decade to belong to the African Lions,” said David McIlroy, Alquity’s Chief Investment Officer.

The Alquity Africa Fund invests in companies quoted on African stock exchanges or on exchanges outside Africa where the majority of income or profit comes from within Africa.
