OSK-UOB launches Series 6 of focus bond fund

OSK-UOB Investment launched Series 6 of its OSK-UOB Focus Bond suite of funds.

It offered investors the opportunity and choice to invest in a three-year close ended income fund, which aimed to maximise returns at its maturity date from a concentrated portfolio of global debt instruments.

The series has an approved fund size of 120 million units, priced RM1 per unit during the initial offer period from yesterday until February 20, 2013.

The initial minimum investment is RM1,000, OSK-UOB said in a statement.

As with its other successful funds, Series 6 invests at least 95 per cent to 100 per cent of its net asset value (NAV) into global debt instruments/bonds and up to five per cent of its NAV into liquid assets including money market instruments and deposits with financial institutions.

“We believe that Series 6 will continue to offer our investors another safe and attractive investment avenue in these times of current market uncertainties and volatility,” said OSK-UOB chief executive officer, Ho Seng Yee.
