JP Morgan appoints Clayton as Senior Banker for Malaysia

J.P. Morgan has appointed Steve Clayton as Managing Director and Senior Country Officer for Malaysia.

He will lead the strategic development of the company's overall franchise and partnering closely with local and regional leadership teams to ensure the consistent delivery of the bank's global platform in the country.

The appointment would further accelerate the strong momentum that the firm has built in Malaysia.

"Steve brings 24 years of broad banking experience and deep local expertise to our firm and we're delighted he's joining us when we are investing significantly to grow our business in Southeast Asia," said J.P. Morgan's Head of Investment Banking in Asia Pacific Todd Marin in a statement.

Prior to joining the company, Clayton was Barclays Capital's Chief Executive Officer for Malaysia and has advised local corporate and government entities for the past 18 years.
