TA Investment declares dividend for Islamic Fund

TA Investment Management Bhd declared a gross income distribution of four sen per unit for its TA Islamic Fund.

The TAIF has been giving consistent returns since its launch on April 24, 2001, culminating in a total gain of 219.04 per cent as at April 29, 2011, and has outperformed its benchmark FTSE Bursa Saham Malaysia Emas Shariah Index which registered a return of 139.21 per cent over the same period.

Touching on the current market situation, TAIM said it believed that the investment market appeared to be disoriented and was seeking direction.

"As we expect global uncertainties to abate in two to three months, we deem the current correction as healthy and an opportunity to acquire stocks at lower levels," said its Chief Investment Officer, Choo Swee Kee.
