Castlestone launches modern art investment fund

An offshore mutual fund based in the British Virgin Islands, COLLECTION OF MODERN ART is open to individual investors and is currently being pre-marketed in the UK, Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East. The Fund’s Manager has been advising on modern art investment since 2000 and will be supported by representatives from auction houses, artists, and dealers. Compared to a return of 6.6 percent from stocks, art has given investors an average annual return of 7.7 percent a year between 1875 and 2000, according to a Mei and Moses research.
The Fund targets artworks by artists within the AMR Art 100 Index who have an established history of strong secondary-market prices such as Banksy, Damien Hirst, Sydney Nolan, Alexander Calder, Chuck Close, Richard Prince, Jasper Johns, Lucio Fontana, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Willem De Kooning.
