Aberdeen and AIA launch investment alternative

An investment alternative that provides investors with life protection coupled with the opportunities to maximise the return from investing in mutual fund is launched in Thailand jointly by the Aberdeen Asset Management Company Limited (Aberdeen) and American International Assurance Company Limited (AIA).

The product called AIALink is a mix between life assurance and a mutual fund investment. Aberdeen has offered Aberdeen Growth Fund to be one of the investment choices for AIA customers.

"AIALink is going to be an interesting investment alternative for customers who want to save money or to invest for a long term. Customer could purchase the life insurance policy with the mutual fund investment. The insurance policy is a long-term life protection which is in line with the Aberdeen investment philosophy," said Mr. Chaikaseam Vadhanasiripong - Head of Funds Distribution, Aberdeen Asset Management Company Limited.

"Aberdeen focuses on the good fundamental stocks and also disciplines on Buy and Hold process. We offer Aberdeen Growth Fund for AIA customer because of the proven track record and investment policy which is suitable with the objective of AIALink. Joining AIA is the good opportunity for Aberdeen to expand our new customer base to the insurance industry," he added.
